What exactly is Ethanol?
It's the scientific or classification name for alcohol, or drinking spirits, one of the most dangerous substances known to man. People like to use 'cutesie' words like "hammered", "wasted", or "buzzed", or (just plain) 'drunk' when what they really (in truth) should be saying is ~poisoned!~
I've yet to have a man tell me he pulled up to the gas pump and stuck the nozzle in his mouth and chugged down a mouthful, just for a 'quick buzz'. That would be pretty ludicrous, wouldn't it? But (in a highly diluted form) that's what every drinker does when he or she guzzles a beer, wine, whiskey, mixed drink, etc.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Since God 'loans' us our earthly bodies, and we are charged in scripture to take good care of it, I believe doctrinally and practically he never intended for us to introduce the poison of alcohol (or other 'recreational'/illicit drugs) into it. To discern truth from error, right from wrong, requires a sound mind, and sober judgement-how is that possible, when one is drunken, or high?
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
